The information, tools, and services on Hirewaar are provided for general information and recruitment facilitation purposes only. While we work to keep content current and useful, we make no representations or warranties of any kind—express or implied—about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the website, listings, profiles, or related materials for any particular purpose.
Any reliance you place on information obtained through Hirewaar is strictly at your own risk. You should independently verify important facts (including job details, pay, working conditions, qualifications, and identity) before making employment decisions.
Not professional advice
Hirewaar does not provide legal, tax, immigration, labour-relations, or human-resources advice. Nothing on the platform should be interpreted as:
- Advice on whether a role meets minimum wage, BCEA, or sectoral determination requirements;
- Guidance on work permits, visas, or right-to-work status in South Africa or elsewhere;
- A recommendation to hire, reject, or engage any particular candidate or employer;
- Financial, investment, or insurance advice of any kind.

Platform role — not an employment agency
Hirewaar is an online platform that helps employers publish roles and candidates discover and apply for opportunities. Maidport (Pty) Ltd is not an employment agency, labour broker, or recruiter of record unless we expressly state otherwise in a separate written agreement.
We do not:
- Guarantee interviews, shortlisting, offers, or employment;
- Guarantee that any vacancy will be filled or that applications will be reviewed within a particular timeframe;
- Employ candidates on behalf of employers or act as an intermediary paymaster;
- Conduct background, criminal, credit, qualification, or reference checks by default (employers remain responsible for their own vetting);
- Control how employers use applicant data after it is downloaded or communicated off-platform.
User-generated and third-party content
Job descriptions, company profiles, candidate biographies, CVs, videos, messages, ratings, and other materials are supplied by users or third parties. We do not routinely audit or verify this content for truthfulness, legality, or non-infringement.
Views expressed in user content are those of the relevant user, not Hirewaar. We may remove content that violates our policies, but we are under no obligation to monitor all submissions or to pre-approve listings.
Employer listings and candidate applications
Employers are solely responsible for the accuracy of roles they post, including title, location, duties, compensation references, and eligibility requirements. Candidates are solely responsible for the accuracy of applications and profile materials they submit.
Hirewaar does not warrant that:
- Any job is genuine, still open, or lawfully offered;
- Any candidate possesses the skills, qualifications, or right to work they claim;
- Communications between users will be free from delay, loss, or misdelivery;
- Matching, ranking, or visibility features will produce a particular outcome.
No endorsement
Publication of a vacancy, company profile, or candidate profile does not constitute an endorsement, partnership, or agency relationship. Featured placement, ordering in search results, or display on a candidate wall does not imply we have validated the underlying opportunity or person.
Payments and billing
Paid employer features (credits, subscriptions, seats) are subject to the pricing and billing terms shown at checkout and in our terms of use. Card and payment processing may be handled by third-party providers (such as Paystack). We are not responsible for outages, declines, or errors caused by payment networks, banks, or those providers, though we will work reasonably to resolve billing issues reported to us.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law—including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where it applies—Hirewaar, its operators, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any loss or damage, including without limitation:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss;
- Loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity;
- Loss arising from hiring decisions, failed hires, discrimination claims, or workplace disputes;
- Loss arising from unauthorised access, user misconduct, or reliance on inaccurate user content;
- Loss arising from downtime, bugs, security incidents, or maintenance of the platform.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the platform in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to Hirewaar in that period, or (b) ZAR 1,000—except where a mandatory law requires otherwise.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hirewaar and its operators against claims, damages, penalties, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the platform, your content, your breach of our terms or policies, or your violation of any law or third-party rights—including claims brought by candidates, employees, or regulators relating to roles you post or hiring practices you conduct.
External links and integrations
Hirewaar may link to or integrate with third-party websites, social profiles, payment gateways, analytics tools, or storage providers. We have no control over their content, privacy practices, or availability. A link does not imply endorsement. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.
Availability and technical issues
We aim to keep Hirewaar available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The site may be suspended temporarily for maintenance, upgrades, capacity limits, or events beyond our reasonable control (including power, network, or cloud-provider failures). We are not liable for temporary unavailability or for data loss where you have not kept independent backups of materials you uploaded.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the platform, but no internet service is completely secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your password, devices, and account activity. Report suspected compromise promptly to support@maidport.co.za.
Changes
We may update this disclaimer from time to time. The version on this page is the current version. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated disclaimer, subject to your statutory rights.
Governing law
This disclaimer is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
